1. Why do some cars have certification stamps and others don’t?
    Used car dealers can choose to have their cars inspected for certification. If no faults are found during the inspection exercise, then the car is stamped as a Certified Pre-Owned Car. A car listed without a stamp means the car dealer has opted out of the inspection, hence the customer would have to conduct an independent inspection of the car.
  2. I am not a car dealer, how can I list my car for sale?
    To avert the risk of fraud growing in the online market place, HonCars.com only allows car dealers advertise cars for sale on the web lot. Individual interested in selling through us, may however send an E-mail to contact@honcars.com for vehicle inspection.
  3. Are prices advertised negotiable?
    Prices advertised are the dealers quoted price for the car. Customers may however further negotiate price with the dealer to get a better price either for outright payment or instalment plans.
  4. How does the instalment plan work?
    We understand the difficulties in having to save for a car, which is why we have partnered financial institutions to provide asset financing to customers who are interested in purchasing via instalment plans. Once you find the car you want, you only need schedule an inspection and apply for instalment and a dedicated relationship manager would contact you to get the process started.
  5. I would like to make outright payment for the car, how do I go about this?
    For an outright payment, the dealers phone number is listed to enable you contact the dealer and negotiate pricing. However please remember to mention that you found the car on www.honcars.com when contacting the dealer.
  6. How reliable is the vehicle summary report?
    The vehicle summary report is an assessment of the car conducted us, the dealer or an independent third party. We however advise customers buying through outright payment to further conduct an independent inspection to ensure they are buying a quality car.
  7. Is the calculator an accurate assessment of my monthly repayments?
    The calculator provides an estimate based on car price, monthly earnings and desired repayment period. Your relationship manager would communicate actuals after all required documents must have been submitted for consideration and approval.
  8. Are there any guarantees or warranties provided?
    Brand new car dealers provide a warranty on cars advertised for sale on the web lot. For used cars, car dealers may provide a warranty for a certain period of time to customer paying outright for the car, however in cases of instalment plans on used cars, customers would be required to purchase a warranty plan from our Vehicle Repair Coverage partners.
  9. How do I know the price of a warranty plan and what would the plan cover?
    The cost of the VRC plan would be calculated and communicated to you by your relationship manager at the point of application for the instalment plan, and the plan would cover up to 650 components in the car in the case of damage
